Nick Leitz Bio

In 1996 Nick Leitz was born into a family with a long lineage of racing history, so it comes as no surprise that since his early childhood Nick has dreamed of nothing but racing. Nick’s father was the owner and founder of Leitz Racing, where they raced in the Thunderbolt Division on Langley Raceway, his Grandfather raced drag cars and his Great-Grandfather raced the oval track. His family history explains his love and dedication to the sport!  After watching his racing heroes on TV for years, Nick could no longer sit on the sidelines. Nick and his family decided it was time to do something about his passion, and go kart racing was the answer.

In 2009 Nick began his rookie season of go kart racing at Langley Speedway where It didn’t take long for Nick to find success, winning 9 races and 8 pole positions – going on to become Division Champion just one year later in 2010.

From there Nick moved into Legends cars for the 2011 and 2012 seasons, where he would finish 4th and 2nd in points respectively. Upon showing immense talent in his two seasons behind the wheel of a Legends car, Nick graduated to Late Models during the 2012 racing season.

From 2012 to 2022 Nick has amassed a number of wins in the NASCAR Late Model Stock Car divisions. Nick has competed at some of America’s most famous racetracks including; Bristol Motor Speedway, Langley, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Myrtle Beach, and Dominion Raceway, Greenville Pickens, Hickory just to name a few.

In 2022 Nick Leitz took his career to new heights by competing in his inaugural NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event at Nashville Superspeedway. Nick had a very impressive race, improving his starting position by 9 places and finishing on the lead lap.
